An Indigenous family inspired arts venture with a focus of sharing skills in traditional weaving and feather craft. Workshops in Pine Needle Weaving, Feather Flower Making and Basket Weaving using traditional grasses. All materials supplied.

Adult $20:00 Child $10:00 or Family group consisting of 4 members $40:00. A chance to share stories and create inspirational works.

Also a Mini Market featuring ready made items for sale.
Camping & hot showers available at the Wood Wood School Ground or camp alongside of the Mighty Murray River within the new Wood Wood, Nyah / Vinifera Park.

 

SPEEWA

Speewa Group

A random group of like minded individuals, possibly up to 10 artists coming together with the get into art as their theme. A casual affair housed in the rustic surrounds of the Speewa Hall. Varying styles, contempary, to surreal most work for sale, artists at work throughout the day.

You can cross the river here using the Speewa Punt to travel on to Tooleybuc. It is the same distance either via the punt or returning to the highway via Victoria to travel to Tooleybuc.

Gloria McKerrow: Experience this part of the world where art is created each day in an abstract expression form, exploring new themes and developments that derive from the process of being creative.

Gwen Clarke: Born in Orbost in 1938 Gwen has practiced art throughout her career as a midwife through to the farming life near Barham and has tutored many along the way. Gwen’s oils and acrylics are small in scale, high key, colourful and bright. The style varies from detailed naïve to semi abstract, experimental and creative.
